“Fantastic Getaway”
"What a wonderful place to stay, very secluded peaceful and relaxing. All our needs were catered for in a very friendly and quick way. Sally Damien and staff were all fantastic. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. There is a small bar and restaurant that serves the best food I tasted in Vanuatu. I would highly recommend if you want to get away and just relax then Ripples would be the place for you. Damien picked us up from the airport and made sure we could get around to do some sight seeing, but we ended up spending a lot of our time just lazing around in the sun and swimming whilst enjoying being waited on. Damien dropped us off to eat at a few places near Ripples but you are better off just eating at Ripples where you will get tasty and value for your money. Sally and Damine went out to help us enjoy our stay so much that we are heading back in November.

“Rustic and relaxing by the bay”

We were lucky enough to spend three nights as the only guests in this boutique resort. Our hosts, Sally and Damien, were delightful - and their staff were friendly, polite and extremely obliging. The location is lovely, and although it is a small property, it is quiet and well appointed. We arrived early, before check-in, and although we weren't expected then we were welcomed in and our room ready within 10 minutes. The room was spacious and clean, with a hammock on the front porch overlooking the water. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom large with a walk-in shower. The resort is far from really anything else, so if you don't have a car you will depend entirely on the resort for food and entertainment - but this suited us fine as we were only there to get some peace and quiet (and some sun).

The resort itself sits just back from the reef, and encloses coral pools for swimming. At low tide, it is easy to walk out beyond the pools to the reef and the 'big blue' beyond, although the tide was too strong for us to go swimming beyond the reef during our stay. The pools are filled with crabs and pretty fish during low tide too, including lots of bright blue guys, some zebra striped ones, and a particularly memorable fish with a big blue and black spiral on his side. When the tide came in, the pools filled up and became more active, and were better for swimming in. There is a fire pit, that Damien lit for us one night (which was very pleasant), and an excellent restaurant. Once Sally discovered that we were vegetarian, we were offered off-menu items (though there were several vegetarian options already on the menu) that they had made for their own dinner the night before - a Bengal curry on eggs, and a spring onion and cheese tart with a side salad. It was scrumptious! Breakfast each morning was continental and very, very substantial! We almost didn't need lunch some days depending how much we had. On our last morning, before we left, a pod of dolphins came to play in the waters right out front of the resort, captivating all of us.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to a couple looking for a quiet escape - bring a book or two for the hammock and prepare to relax!
